However, I think the Heathrow protestors showed themselves to be no more than a bunch of unwashed rent a mob troublemakers, with very little knowledge of or interest in climate change. The few facts that they had were incorrect, air travel is not the fastest growing greenhouse gas contributor, and the fact that they refused to attend a debate on climate change because they were busy planning a day of action, some of it illegal, showed them up for exactly what they were.
Interestingly, some of them were protesting about a nuclear power station too. A few weeks ago environmentalists were protesting about an oil fired power station, Drax B. You have to have power, so what exactly do they want?
They should all have been fire hosed down the sewers where they belong. Who agrees and disagrees?
